efficient servicebusy time
The room included a bottle of water, which I could refill downstairs at a water station. Breakfast offered very efficient service and seating, even during busy times (i especially liked the croissants).
The artwork in my room seemed a little generic. A more distinctive selection would improve the ambiance.

inadequate breakfastdifficult temperature
The room temperature was difficult to adjust. there were only a few settings. it was either too cool or too warm, and i woke up a few times because of it. also, the breakfast selection did not meet my expectations for a hotel of this level. I found it quite basic and the black pudding wasn't fully cooked!

underwhelming stay overall

convenient locationbroken thermostatcheap drinks
the location was convenient for getting around. it was centrally located.
the room was too warm. the thermostat did not work, and i was told it was on a timer. despite complaining, it took several days to get a fan. this. also, the drink coupons offered as compensation were only good for the cheapest drinks at the bar.

the gym facilities were modern and adequate for a typical hotel gym. i found the bed super comfy. THE bathroom facilities were also modern. Breakfast was consistent and staff attentive.
the sound proofing was poor, i could hear conversations outside. traffic sounds were also apparent. seagulls added to the noise issues. My advice is to check the glazing.

the location is very convenient, being close to walking bridges. the staff seemed friendly and helpful. the room furnishings looked nice and well-kept (i liked the decor).
the floor seemed to shake when doors closed nearby, even disturbing the bed. the light switches were difficult to locate, not placed near the lights. the shower knobs were unmarked, and i had to enter the shower to turn it on.
